Chrzanów Identity
Chrzanów is a small town in southern Poland. Many of its young residents often choose to move to neighboring metropolitan areas in search of new opportunities. Over the past 15 years, about 3,000 young people have left Chrzanów. In response, the city authorities decided to enhance the city's identity to make it more appealing.
All city institutions (such as the library, museum, swimming pool) and municipal departments use the same visual identity. They are distinguished by color (based on the field of activity) and symbol. This approach makes brand implementation simpler and more cost-effective, with materials that are easily recognizable and well received by both locals and visitors.
Chrzanów’s visual identity is flexible, consisting of two approaches – formal and informal – combined to varying degrees depending on the need and context. Most materials incorporate both approaches, giving Chrzanów’s brand a confident character that respects its past while allowing room to diverge from it.
Inner West Identity (Sydney)
After the merger of three municipalities in Sydney’s Inner West, a new brand was needed to unify the area.
The new brand was designed to reflect the diversity and creativity that Inner West is known for. The logo and brand identity incorporate iconic locations, spaces, and historical architectural forms of the district, which serve as symbols for progressive ideas, events, and opportunities that shape the culture of Inner West.
«Our home is a creative place – but it’s only made so by our residents». The wordmark has multiple configurations based on the different physical spaces within Inner West.
The brand elements are used across communications to house content and create a clear, cohesive image while allowing space for creative interpretation. Initial illustrations were created with artist Ilana Bodenstein, who developed a detailed guide to highlight the brand's flexibility.
